以林纾“传奇三部曲”戏曲创作为中心，对角色扮相、曲牌唱腔等进行考察，辨析其“戏剧小说化”翻译并非“文体不通”的谬误，而是顺应国情实际、符合国民阅读体验与审美需求的“二次创作”，亦是在民族危亡的历史阶段和文学变革的思潮背景下，以“小说开民心、启民智”的文体观念实践。而剧本内容的“传奇”性质，体现了林纾努力传承弘扬传统道义美德，感化人情、聚合民心、整肃秩序的文化调适。然而在以报刊为主的现代媒介生态环境下，“传奇三部曲”传统的时政隐喻功能，以及影射的修辞手法、讥讽的戏谑风格、不加节制的情感宣泄等，不仅难以收获广大受众市场，而且存在被误读和曲解的可能，最终导致林纾成为新文化人集中攻击的对象，反映了特殊历史阶段新旧文化思潮的激烈冲突。
Abstract:
Focusing on the creation of Lin Shus “Legend Trilogy” operas, analysis was conducted on its “fictionalized translation of scripts” through examining the appearance of characters and the singing style. It is not a fallacy of “stylistic differences”, but a “secondary creation” that conforms to the actual situation of the country and the reading experience and aesthetic needs of the people. It is also a practice of the stylistic concept of “novels enlightening people” in the historical stage of national peril and the ideological trend of literary reform. The “legendary” nature of the script also reflects Lin Shu’s efforts to inherit and promote traditional moral virtues, influence human emotions, unite people’s hearts, and his cultural adjustments to rectify social order. However, in the modern media ecological environment dominated by newspapers and periodicals, the traditional political metaphor function of the “Legendary Trilogy”, as well as the rhetorical technique of innuendo, the style of sarcastic banter, and uncontrolled emotional catharsis, were not only difficult to gain the audience market, but also possible to be misinterpreted and misunderstood, which ultimately led to Lin Shu becoming the target of concentrated attack by people supporting the New Cultural Movement, profoundly reflecting the fierce conflict between new and old cultural trends.
