摘要:
技术恐惧与浪漫主义时期的科幻小说同步诞生，对后世作品产生巨大影响，但又不局限于科幻作品中。托尔金的作品深受浪漫主义文学的影响，所描写的中古神话战争中蕴含技术恐惧思想。深入研究托尔金的私人书信及其作品寓意，即可发现他在生活中秉持卢德主义，对科技持有巨大的偏见和厌恶，在作品中将科技等同于邪恶力量，魔戒等同于不受控制的技术进步。认清托尔金作品中的技术恐惧体现，是在科技发展和科技恐惧并存的现代所必须的。
Abstract:
Technophobia emerged concurrently with science fictions in the age of romanticism, which had great influence on the literature of the latter ages. The influence of the technophobia is not limited in the science fiction. Tolkien’s works were deeply influenced by romanticism literature, whose description of the war of “Middle Earth” has reflected technophobia. Tolkien held great prejudice and deep hatred towards technology, which can be discovered by studying his personal letters and implications in his works. He equates technology with the evil power, and “The Ring” with uncontrollable technological advances. Recognizing the embodied technophobia in Tolkien’s works is highly necessary in the modern age that technophile and technophobia coexist.
