摘要:
夏目漱石曾用“明暗双双”来指代其遗著《明暗》的小说世界。“明暗双双”本是一个禅语，为“明中有暗，暗中有明，二者交融”之意，这也是小说《明暗》的最大特点。二元对立统一的辩证关系贯穿《明暗》的始终，其既是意义范畴上的，也是创作方法上的。“清子”意象的塑造把“明”与“暗”的二元对立统一起来，暗示了近代人精神救赎的困难。
Abstract:
Natsume Soseki, in his posthumous work Light and Shade, referred to the world depicted in the novel as a binary one. “A binary world with light and shade”, originally a Zen quote, means that light and shade are blended with each other, i.e., there is light in shade, and shade in light. That is the greatest characteristic of the novel, with the dialectical relationship running throughout it. Such a relationship lies not only in the category of meaning, but also in the method of creation. The creation of the character Kiyoko integrates the binary opposites of light and shade, suggesting the difficulty in seeking spiritual redemption for modern people.
